Series and Sequels part 2

Here's the second part of the list of series and books with a sequel that I have in my collection (or have had).   The number after each entry indicates the number of books in the series, not the number I own, although in most cases I do have them all.

If you want anymore information about any of them just ask in comments. To find the first part of this list click the label Series and Sequels at the end of this post.

  1. Question about the Cutler series. You say six books, the first two by John Benteen(Ben Haas), the rest by H.V. Elkin. Fantastic Fiction has five titles in one series by Elkin, no mention of any connection to Benteen. I read the two Benteens years back, then passed them on to James Rreasoner after the fire destroyed his home and collection.

  2. Randy,

I only have five of the six books (#3 is the one I'm missing) and the first two have John Benteen as the author and all the others have the author as E.V. Elkin.

I've just looked on FF and if you search for Culter you'll find those as by Benteen.

I looked at the Elkin listing and the second book listed there, "Playground" isn't a Culter book (unless it was republished with a different title). The third book they list is actually the sixth.

Here's the titles for the whole series:

    1. Wolf Pack (Benteen)
    2. The Gunhawks (Benteen)
    3. Eagle Man (Elkin)
    4. Yellowstone (Elkin)
    5. Mustang (Elkin)
    6. Tiger's Chance (Elkin)

I have found that FF has quite a lot of wrong listings.

    Hope that helps, Steve.

  3. I agree on Fantastic Fiction, Steve, having found a few and alerted them myself, although they took their sweet time correcting them and may not have had anything to do with me.
